Microsoft republishes Guidelines for Test-Driven Development – level 200

If you remember the article in October that was on MSDN on Test-Driven Development, you remember the hub-bub that it caused because of the inaccuracies, and how it soon was pulled from the web.

Microsoft has published new Guidelines for Test-Driven Development.  See the article to see why I think they got it right. 🙂

Many thanks to Paul Schafer and Rob Caron.

  1. LOL. Well, I’m glad it’s back and it’s right this time. I started reading it and little checkboxes ticked off in my head and I thought, cool, they really did get it this time.

Some smart dude must have smacked them upside the head and got them to do the right thing.

Of course it does help when that smart dude is you, but hey, I’m glad all is right in the world again. Thanks J!

Congratulation, Jeffrey! It is nice one.

  3. I especially like all the “although this varies from practitioner to practitioner” caveats and disclaimers, very diplomatic and sensible given the touchy subject matter 🙂

  4. Hey Jeff,

I am glad that MS asked someone with real TDD experience to drive out the article for them. Simple and to the point.

    Great Job.

  5. Thanks for doing this Jeff! Don’t forget the guy that asked ya to do it in the first place… 🙂 I’m very glad Paul & Rob & you collaborated on this. It took a long time to get through the system, thanks for being patient.
